Welcome to the Global Chaplain Network!
Continuing Education
Levels 3, 4, 5, & 6
As a dedicated chaplain, it is crucial to align your ministry with your chosen area of focus. We encourage you to remain connected with us as you pursue additional training opportunities tailored to your specific field. For instance, Police or Fire Chaplain Academies, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for hospital work, or familiarizing yourself with Robert's Rules of Order for legislative purposes. Sports chaplains should also acquire relevant knowledge in their respective fields. Please remember to provide us with a copy of your certificate for our records. Your commitment to continuous learning enhances the impact of your chaplaincy service.

Specialized Training
FEMA online courses (free) are self paced. To fortify your ministry skills set we suggest the following courses of Independent Study or IS classes: IS-230, 240, 244, 241, 242, 288, 317, & 700.
For emergency service work, even a CERT Team (Community Emergency Response Team) our chaplains need to get trained. (CERT academic training must be followed up with a local Fire Department for practical skills sets needed to work in this area).
The Incident Command System is the Federal Government directive on emergency management, backed by law. We need to all be talking the same language. IS 100 and IS 200 are the best place to start.

FEMA via the Emergency Management Institute (EMI) offers self-paced courses designed for people who have emergency management responsibilities and the general public. All are offered free-of-charge to those who qualify for enrollment.
